Marching into Spring

I am excited to welcome spring. Although the weather is still swinging to and fro, I can see the newly budded flowers on the ground and in the trees. Yay, spring!
My handheld sifter broke several weeks ago and I'm not one to immediately run out for such a thing. I remembered watching some folks on YouTube who would use a large handheld strainer to sift flour or sugar, so that's what I did.
Some of you recall the past issues I have had in the kitchen, and how I said, that if I ever change the name of my business, it would be called Hot Mess Kitchen. So this hand held sifting thing should be RIGHT up my alley!
Suffice it to say, it was a little messy, but I found that I quite enjoyed sifting ingredients this way. No more cramped hands from the squeezy-type sifters!
I was asked yesterday by someone if I could do a graduation cake. Yes! I will definite take on that task. Anyone else?
