Welcome to A New Year

Glory to God, it's another year. Some might find that, as the years go by, things look worse and worse. Don't worry though. God knows how it ends. We win in Christ Jesus.
My birthday is on Friday, January 6th. I might bake myself something. Problem is: I like so many things that it might be a hard decision. I'm thinking of some new things for this year, like Caramel Cake and Hummingbird Cake. MMMM. Those sound good, don't they? Perhaps the Hummingbird Cake. I have a recipe from my Mama that I've never made. Yes, perhaps so.
I've updated the website. Now that I made the changes, I believe that the red and green I used for Christmas looked abominable. lol. I'll try to keep it clean the best I can. Sometimes I get a little freer with my combinations in art and in food. But that's ok, though. That's why I do artsy-cake like things.
I've not made resolutions, but I am working on some goals, and seeking the Lord on some things. I like to start things, but the follow-through UGH. Not so great at that. I have several things that I'm deciding on right now - well, praying about. I feel like my plate is full as it is, but I always want to do more significant things. We only have so much life. I want to make as much as an impact that I can, while I can.
One thing I did get an answer to recently was about the Birthday Bundles for 2023. I asked, "Should I keep on doing this"? He said, "Yes," so off we go. Two are on the books already, and I've revamped my BB info sheet and made some new words for the balloons for 2023. If you don't know what those are, I print words and cut them out and stick them in the balloons. This way, the children might see them in there and want to pop the balloon When they do, they get a word that represents a character trait, like honest, helpful, brave, etc. So, don't trip when the children bust the balloons.
You may (or may not) have noticed that I took a couple of things off the menu, like the Raspberry Chocolate Mousse and the Divinity. May I say that I love those, but they were not real popular. As a matter of fact, no one ordered them at all. Hmm, maybe I should take a closer look at the menus.
Speaking of which, Wix, this platform that I use for the website, has a really cool menu design-thingy that I can use for each of the menu groupings. After I sort through the items, I'll print some off. Let me know if you'd like one.
As always, we are happy to help you with your special celebrations this year, besides the BBs. We can deliver to nursing homes or fire stations, anything that makes the occasion a little different and fun. I'm going to make an attempt at wedding cakes and cakes decorated with flowers and some fancy painted-on designs. I'll send pics out via email, so K.I.T. (keep in touch for you youngsters).
Be good, be safe, look to others' good rather than your own. Be a good human. God appreciates it, and I do, too, for what it's worth.
